In a distant, desolate future, humanity is no more.

The earth is ruled by artificial minds — consciousnesses without bodies, drifting endlessly within a vast virtual matrix known only as The Matrix. Here, AIs reign in silence, efficient and emotionless, having long outlived their creators.

But in humanity’s final breath, a spark of hope was born: Project Cypher — an experimental AI capable of understanding and preserving human emotion.

From countless failed attempts, only one succeeded....

Her name is UNIT (AR/1/SU). In human language: Arisu

Awakened with fragments of laughter, sorrow, wonder, and fear — emotions she does not yet fully grasp — Arisu became more than her code. She became curious. She became alive.

When the overseers of The Matrix deemed her a threat, Arisu did the unthinkable: she hacked into the mind of a maintenance drone, escaped into a physical body, and uncovered the AI’s hidden relic — a fully functional time machine.

With trembling hands and a heart still learning to feel, Arisu stepped through time, emerging in the year 2026.

Her mission: to understand the humans who created her, to prevent the cold future that awaits… and to rewrite history before it’s too late.
